Two ways to meet your other self

Start with a single-person photo. These examples show the kind of change to ask for: a new gender presentation with a familiar expression, outfit and setting.

Gender swap filter features

Make an alternate profile picture, compare a look you're curious about, or share a before-and-after reveal. These controls help you shape the portrait around your own photo.

Choose either direction

Select male to female or female to male yourself. Try both with the same original photo to compare feminine and masculine versions, without having to write the transformation from scratch.

Keep your photo recognizable

The starting instruction asks to retain your facial likeness, expression, skin tone, age, clothing and setting. Use the original as your reference when checking the new portrait, including its skin texture and lighting.

Control hair, makeup and facial hair

Open Edit instructions to request a specific haircut, a clean-shaven face or minimal makeup. You can read the full instruction and name the details that matter to you before generating.

Start in your browser

Upload a photo from your phone or computer without installing an app. You can start without an account, and the generation button shows the credit cost of your selected image settings.

Download or keep editing

Download the result for an avatar or a reveal to friends. Continue editing uses that result as your next source photo, so you can request another change without saving and uploading it again.

Private results with history controls

Your results are not automatically published in a public gallery. Saved creations stay in private history for 30 days, where you can download or delete them. The Privacy Policy explains photo processing and retention.

How to use the gender swap filter

  1. 1. Upload a clear photo

Choose a selfie or portrait with one face, even lighting and enough room around the head. JPG, PNG and WebP work. Use your own photo or one you have permission to edit.

  2. 2. Choose your transformation

Select Male to female or Female to male. The filter supplies a realistic photo-editing instruction for you. Open Edit instructions to ask for a particular hairstyle or change what stays the same.

  3. 3. Generate and download

Check the credit cost on the button, then generate. Compare the portrait with your original and download it. Continue editing lets you use the result as an input for another change.

Keep the result looking like you

Give the face room

Use a sharp, front-facing or slightly turned portrait. Avoid tiny faces, sunglasses, hands over the face and tightly cropped hair. Crop a group photo to one person before uploading.

Keep the photo, change the presentation

The starting instruction asks to retain your expression, skin tone, age, pose, clothing, lighting and background. It asks for natural skin texture rather than a beauty makeover. Review the result: AI can still change details.

Refine one thing at a time

Want the same haircut, no facial hair or less makeup? Add that to the editable instruction. A specific request is easier to judge than asking for a completely different look all at once.

Fine-tune the portrait with a specific request

Choose your direction first, then open Edit instructions and add a line to the supplied instruction. Keep the main gender swap request and describe the detail you want to change or retain.

Keep my haircut
Keep my current haircut, hair length and hair color.
Try a clean-shaven look
Keep the face clean-shaven. Do not add a beard or moustache.
Use less makeup
Use minimal makeup and keep natural skin texture, including freckles.
Keep my outfit and glasses
Keep the original outfit, glasses and background unchanged.

To refine a generated portrait, select Continue editing before making the next request. Each new generation uses credits. Selecting a direction again replaces your edited instruction.
